It is essential to comply with these guidelines in order to offer travel insurance to your clients. 

Using Disclaimers

It is critical that you have the proper disclaimer on your website and marketing materials. Because this is a Travel Insurance product, it follows different guidelines for disclaimers. The following must appear on any marketing piece (webpage, printed material, email, etc.) that promotes the annual multi-trip product. Replace the highlighted areas with your own information. If you will not sell this product to residents of California or Texas, you can remove those license numbers.

The insurance coverage or plans are available to residents of the United States. Benefits and services are described on a general basis. Certain terms, conditions, restrictions and exclusions apply and coverages may vary in certain states. Please refer to your plan for detailed terms, conditions and exclusions. Insurance coverages are underwritten by Arch Insurance Company, NAIC # 11150 under form series LTP 2013 and amendments thereto. Consumer Disclosures

Consumer disclosers must be posted on your own website. You can copy and paste the information below to your own Consumer Disclosures page, and then link to that page in your disclaimer. You must include all three sections: Notice to prospective purchases, notice to Delaware residents, and notice to California residents.

NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE PURCHASERS:

  1. Purchasing travel insurance is not required in order to purchase any other product or service offered by the travel retailer
  2. Your travel retailer may not be licensed to sell insurance, and is therefore not qualified or authorized to:
    1. Answer technical questions about the benefits, exclusions, and conditions of any of the insurance offered by the travel retailer.
    2. Evaluate the adequacy of your existing insurance coverage.

This plan provides insurance coverage that only applies during the covered trip. You may have coverage from other sources that provide you with similar benefits but may be subject to different restrictions depending upon your other coverages, You may wish to compare the terms of this policy with your existing life, health, home and automobile insurance policies. If you have any questions about your current coverage, call your insurer or insurance agent or broker.

NOTICE TO DELAWARE RESIDENTS:

The insurance coverage may duplicate existing coverage maintained by the consumer. The consumer may wish to compare the terms of existing life, health, home and automobile policies, and other sources of protection.
